And nobody notices the sword Socks is suddenly wielding?! (er, holding...)
Albeit, they're all a bit distracted... BUT THAT PORTENDS! IT PORTENDS BADLY!!

Oh, poor James. He looks so... hopeless is the wrong word. But he's definitely feeling the pressure, and may I just say how amazing it is that you are able to portray that feeling in ink, in a drawing? Absolutely incredible.

You are doing such a great job really getting his exhaustion across. I feel so bad for him and you just want to wrap him up and cuddle him for a bit. The composition and, well, everything about that third panel is fantastic. Just so cool.

I'm wondering... if Glinda is a witch, albeit a goodish one... can she die from water as well? XD Enjoying this arc. Socks! It's okay, this is your story arc now! You're the hero... and if your other goblins are adorable squee worthy tykes as well, you have a whole army of cuteness to defeat Glinda. Lol. Socks, I believe in you. Also, Jamie go lie down. I know waters are restless and all that jazz, but you need to sleep.

On a side note, I'm loving the newish art style for Sarah. Those huge puppy eyes, one can see why Jareth would get lost in them. *nods*

I don't think so. The reason the Wicked Witch of the West was water-soluble (at least, in the book) was because she was so old and evil that all her blood had dried up. Glinda, antagonist role non-withstanding,  is still "Good."

MEANWHILE, IN THE ANTI-CRISIS BUNKER'S BASEMENT LOUNGE

This is not what staying put means, Socks!

Well, he obviously aims for Kid Hero, and those aren't know for staying put. They are also generally found in stories where Adults Are Useless which here obviously isn't the case... So my other guess becomes more and more likely :iconshiverplz:

[hangs head sadly] Given the nature of this comic with these kinds of arcs, he's probably going to at least get seriously hurt.

Considering how many Oz books were written, one of them must have a clue on how to at least slow Glinda down. Read faster, Erik.

Generally, all I've seen slow Glinda down is distance and distaste for certain kinds of magic.

Unfortunately, true... Maybe we could toss her in the Bog of Eternal Stench! It couldn't hurt and maybe her one true weakness will turn out to be horrific smells. We can hope, right?

Oh no.  It seems we are in royally deep chicken guano, no matter what measures we take.  James is feeling the pressure and Socks is just standing there, helpless, because we don't have a strategy.  Erik, start flipping through The Wizard of Oz/chronicles of Oz faster; we need something here!
