Saved by his PG rating... all serious bodily harm visited upon Jareth's person in the last comic can never be on screen.
Norrington and Javert finally meet their new neighbors. To clarify in advance, Javert is freaking out over the fact that Jareth is a magical being and not human, not that he's near-nekkid and cheerfully accepting a fruit basket as Jareth believes. Why does Javert recognize this and Norrington (whose cannon actually includes the supernatural) does not? It's a long and complicated story involving various interpretations of canon, but it boils down to Norrington doesn't want his neighbors any weirder than they already are, so he doesn't notice.
Regarding the last panel: Jareth got dressed magically.
Erik belongs to Leroux and Webber.
Jareth belongs to Henson, Lucas, and Bowie.
Norrington belongs to Disney and Bruckheimer
Javert belongs to Hugo, Boublil, Schonberg, and Kretzmer.
