I was watching Inside the Actor's Studio with Hugh Jackman and he had some neat stories about Crowe. My favorite is how he has sing alongs at his house like, once a week or something and everyone HAS to sing. I'm like I wanna go!!! Sounds so fun!
Well, I enjoyed it. Especially after my one friend pointed out that Javert's entire storyline there is about the destruction of heroes. But then again, I'm all about nuance, and the performance was full of it. Mostly, I intend to keep my head down, because the fandom looks split over this like it was a bloody ship war. *shudder*
I just got back from watching les mis and I immediately started thinking about this part of your comic and broke down crying in the theatre when Javert was singing on the bridge. It's incredibly thought provoking and emotionally touching the way you write all the Roommates' characters and their stories. I do really enjoy it.
Wow. Just, wow. I'm legitimately crying right now because I know that exact feeling. My family and friends all have strong religious beliefs, but I don't. And while normally that's not a problem, there are those moments were I want nothing more than to *believe*, just for a few minutes. To believe that there is something more, something better, that there is hope and a promise of a better future.
