This may require some explanation, because it references some obscure 'canon'. D*sney has a series of books called the Young Adventures of Jack Sparrow. In one of the books, we run into James' father, Admiral Lawrence Norrington, and young James. (Ironically, I ran into this book AFTER putting young James into the comic as a crybaby, which was corroborated by his portrayal in the book.) During a fight with the pirates, James falls off the ship and is rescued by Jack's father. Admiral Norrington, in a display of fantastic parenting, promptly tells James that he should have drowned rather than be saved by a pirate. I'm estimating James was probably... somewhere between six and eight at this time.

Ok so I honestly feel bad for Jamie but I'm kinda confused as too whats happening. Is the young boy James and the kinda ghostly figure his father or is it just some kind of dream cause considering that he's friends with Jareth anything (and by anything I mean ANYTHING) can happen.
