In which yes, he did.
Jareth and Sarah belong to Henson, Lucas, Bowie and Connelly.
It does not lessen the drama, nor the beauty of this page.
It's so, so good.
Is it just me, or are the dark swirly lines around Jareth’s hand (aka what I presume to be the ‘bindings’ of the story) making him push her off the roof?
Also, in panel 2, the feather next to Jareth’s face and the white swirlyness – is this representing another costume change? So that the white, good!Jareth half of his costume from the last page is transforming back into the dark, evil!Jareth’s armour because of Sarah’s protests? Since Sarah’s immediate defensiveness did not allow for her to reach out enough to save Jareth from his darkside?
Which is half the reason why I think he shoved her over.
The other half is the villain part.
Heart-wrenching and soul-tearing as always Ashe.
Jareth, you had two options.... 1) kiss Sarah 2) push Sarah and potentially kill her..... WHY DID YOU GO WITH OPTION #2??!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!??!!??!?!?!!!!
*sighs* whatever. your loss.
but i must say it anyway...
OH NO HE DIDN'T!!!!!!!!!!!!
Although I was hoping for a kiss, this is much more dramatic.
Love! It's about time somebody put Sarah getting dumped on her rump!
Oh dear Lord... Oh, "it breaks his heart"? What about her "breaking her back" or worse?
(Amazing art, as always!)
