Roommates 14 - Celestial... by AsheRhyder Roommates 14 - Celestial... by AsheRhyder
Full Title: Celestial Persuasion

Introducing the two newest cast members to Roommates: Aziraphale and Crowley, from the novel Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Prachett. If you haven't read the book, it's very amusing, if somewhat satiric.

FYI, the dark haired gentleman is Crowley, and yes, he does have wings in the last two panels. For full explanation, read the book.

Erik belongs to Leroux and Webber.
Jareth belongs to Henson, Lucas, and Bowie.
Norrington belongs to Disney and Bruckheimer
Javert belongs to Hugo, Boublil, Schonberg, and Kretzmer.
Aziraphale and Crowley belong to Gaiman and Prachett.

How many times have I reread Roommates? I don't even know. Regardless, I JUST figured out that Crowley's holding a water mister. I'd been thinking all this time it was a gun.

Re-reading this after reading good-omens makes it about 100 times greater X ) especially now that I've realized Aziraphale isn't a girl.

Oooh! Is Crowley holding his plant mister??

LOVE how, somehow, they talked Jareth into participating in this bit of social niceties. PLUS he knows at least something of everybody's back-story because they all watched the movies together. :D Yay for continuity!

I've got to read Good Omens sometime in the near future. I keep hearing all sorts of fun things about it.
I haven't read enough of Pika's comic yet to know if she included Crowley and Zira, but I do recall seeing Castiel from Supernatural making an appearance. I wonder if he bumped into the two while he was there. It would probably be interesting seeing how he has an acquaintance also named Crowley.

I actually picked up Good Omens from the library, figured I'd see what was up. Best 300 something pages of my life. That said, I wonder if either you or Pika plan to bring any of the other characters from that book? I would personally love to see Anathema Device, I have a serious weakness for her character type (tall, long legs, long raven black hair with a hime-cut, dabbles in the occult, et cetera. Kind of reminds me of Yuuko from xxxHoLiC)

The rides would be fun to see as well, especially War, but then again her presence would probably cause the guys to fight over her and the girls to get pissy out of jealousy. Adam Not!Antichrist would be a good addition as well.

Motorcycles are hard to draw for me, so the riders are probably out. As for the other characters, we'll see if anything inspires.

On another note, I've just discovered and begun reading your comic through TV Tropes, and it's brilliant so far. I'll try not to spam your inbox with comments, but I can't make any promises....

Whoa! I was wondering who these two were. I got the gist that Crowley was a devil, or at least a fallen angel, from the GND web series (Thank you to the YouTubers, and to Pika, for making that possible.), but I didn't know where he was from. And Aziraphale... he's an angel right? I  Neil Gaiman, but I haven't read Good Omens yet. I've seen that it comes with two covers in paperback version. One with a devil, in a suit, done in black ink on a white cover; the other with an angel, in a simple shirt and pants, done in white ink on a black cover.

In the book, Crowley's an attention-starved baby who feels "lonely" when his enemy of six thousand years neglects to plan another meet-up with him. Aziraphale is an angel who gets off on making people happy. And then they hold hands and stand futilely against Satan together rather than let the Apocalypse run its course and take the chance that their respective side would win.

Honestly, I really don't think they'd mind most of the shipping so terribly much. :D They're practically there already, whatever goes on between the sheets is merely a technicality. <3

South Downs, as of 2005, to be precise. :) I can't dig up the exact link at the moment but I DO actually know the person who prompted this confession (via a 'where are they now?' type question during NG's tour). It's [link] if you want to ask her about it.

Of course, 'living in a cottage together' doesn't HAVE to mean slash, but either way, it's an admission of never wanting to be apart again, on general principle. People an argue all they want about whether there's kissing and such, but that, right there, is genuine love.

Not slash, no, but it's still cute to think about. I don't care whether they're sexy making out all the time or platonic bros forever, I love them so much ;_;

Thanks for clarifying, too <3

Yeah - I think, however, that slash is practically indispensable in this case because Crowley is seriously attention-starved in the book. You can't tell me that hugging and snuggling wouldn't be good for him. ^^ Although I guess hugging and snuggling can be platonic, too, but that's seriously a matter of semantics at that point. >D

Your avatar is disturbingly mesmerising, btw. >D
