Roommates 124 - Homeward by AsheRhyder Roommates 124 - Homeward by AsheRhyder
In which the literary reference finally has something to do with the overall plot,

OR

In which the artist has used up the background budget for the season. Given Jareth's penchant for floating, he may very well just be sitting on nothing.

So far it seems the trip has ended smoothly...

Erik and Christine belong to Leroux and Webber.
Jareth and Sarah belong to Henson, Lucas, Bowie and Connelly.
Norrington and Elizabeth belong to Disney, Bruckheimer, Davenport and Knightly.
Javert belongs to Hugo, Boublil, Schonberg, and Kretzmer.
Legolas belongs to Tolkien.
The book credits itself.

The end panel reminds me of an alien invasion kind of movie. :P

Or is contemplating teleportation sickness. (He doesn't take Jareth's Poofing too well.)

I have yet to read that spinoff play of Hamlet, aka my favorite Shakespearean tragedy, but I hear it's supposed to be good.

I recently found this comic (two weeks ago) and after going through them three times to understand the characters.. and the plot......
Now that I know the signs, Jareth slowly going from being the eye-candy to completely covered over this river arc is extremely ominous. It's such a slow progression as well.
Great job in the foreshadowing, without really giving anything away.

For some reason, I picture the ponytail having the same kind of thin sparkly tassles you put on the handle's of a little girl's bike inside of it...

Blame Bruce Timm. His stylization of the figure is where I first learned how to draw women. Also, at least in Christine's case, years of corsets.

Though I doubt it's printed in such a nice hardback as I've got it here, the actors have to get their words somehow. Technically, it's still a play. Just... in a much nicer binding.
