What she says to Erik is between him and her (even the artist is left out), but feel free to speculate!

Erik belongs to Leroux and Webber.
Norrington belongs to Disney, Bruckheimer, and Davenport.
Death belongs to Gaiman and Vertigo/DC comics.

EEE! Death, how I love you. She's my favorite of the seven Endless, though Delirium is a close second

Uh-oh! This is from Neil Gaiman's Sandman isn't it? I recognize her from the spin-off comic I read called At Death's Door.

I think she probably said some thing along the lines of, " Erik, Does Chirstine herself know what you died of?..." Oh yeah she never learned. In the book it was from a broken heart. :cries:

Wait, what?  I've read the book and seen the Butler/Rossum movie.  What did he die of?  In the book it was a broken heart, and in the movie version I saw he wasn't dead yet.

Just when I thought you almost couldn't hit any more wet spots - then you did Death and Phantom.
Gawddamnyou(in an awesomely good way)!

But I do think that it can be discussed whether or not Phantom actually died...

I figured out how Erik died, Its in an unabriged version of Phantom that I own. Aparently annother part of his birth defect was a lung diseas that caused him great pain, then he got a few diseases from his time in that Freak show....lets just say his "owner" had a thing for little boys, and he was an Opium adict to help with pain.....just so you know......Its not a pretty version of the book....its very sad.......

It doesn't exactly specify, only that an advert was run in the paper saying "Erik is dead", though the cause as given as "dying of love". Which is medically unspecific, but hey, it's fiction.

Considering his signature weapon, the cause of death may very well have been suicide . Though I guess that would have been because of his broken heart...
