"Roommates" is getting so long that I had to go and divide the recap page into multiple pages due to length. But it looks pretty good and the most recent arcs are still on the main page until we get enough to move them later. And I managed to index the recap pages properly too.

Anyone who wants to help add stuff to the TvTrope page, the recap page, the character pages, or anything else, feel free to jump in.

Gracious! Thanks for doing all that work. Wow, this comic's been going on a long time, hasn't it?

No problem. I've been trying to do what I can. It would just be nice if more people pitched in occasionally.

It has indeed been going on a while. And it is still awesome.

Also: retelling of Star Wars in the style of Victor Hugo

It is perfect Hugo in style, form, and lengthy digressions. But in space.

All right, I just got to say that you are just so utterly wonderful. Your comic is just fantastic. And things keep on growing more interesting the longer you go. The Concepts keep making their presence known, we get a glimpse of a character we thought was lost forever, and everything is just amazing and woven together in a huge tapestry that you have perfectly planned. It is such a good thing for everyone that you seem immune to Writer's Block. Otherwise we would have never got to enjoy this tale and we wouldn't get to see the future of this comic you have in mind.

So thanks for all the wonderful pages and good luck on more in the future.

Roommates never ends things the way you want it to. It's not just one of those "there are no endings", because the arcs do close. There are resolutions, but they aren't right. With Such Stuff, something about its conclusion was unsatisfying in a subtle way, nagging on the fringes of your thoughts even as you smile at Jareth and Sarah. With Kings War...well. It was Kings War. Enough said. And even the small things, the short lighthearted (or not) arcs...

There's nothing jarring, nothing you can pinpoint, just a vague sense of...something. When the story makes you laugh, it's there. When the Story makes you cry, it's there. And maybe it has something to do with the existence of Story and its ilk. Everyone (except Socks) is outside of their stories, but at the same time their stories are an integral, primal part of their being. The story—Story—both and neither—has and has not a hold on them. Nothing goes quite as it should, not according to conventional stories, not according to unconventional ones, yet both are present.

I congratulate you, Ashe, for making a masterpiece of a story that isn't.
